Sony full-frame camera coming, 500mm F4 lens finally announced review


Serious photographers can pull distant subjects closer with a powerful new 500mm (equivalent to 750mm with APS-C camera) super-telephoto lens from Sony.
The SAL500F40G is the longest fixed focal length G Lens from Sony to date. Like all other A-mount lenses.

It’s enough to mention here the Nikkor 18-200 mm VR or the Sigma 18-200 mm f/3.5-6.3 DC OS which, in the 18-55 mm range, fared definitely better than any 18-55 mm kit devices, still performing decently at longer focal lengths.

The OS system uses two sensors inside the lens to detect vertical and horizontal movement of the camera. It works by moving an optical image stabilizing lens group, to effectively compensate for camera shake. The lens design incorporates an inner focusing system, which prevents the front of the lens from rotating, thereby making it particularly suitable for use with circular polarizing filters and petal shaped lens hoods.

The Sigma 18-200mm f/3.5-6.3 DC OS (Optical Stabilizer) HSM Lens offers an "all-in-one" super-zoom lens solution, from wide-angle to long telephoto. DC lenses are exclusively designed for digital SLR cameras. The image circle (rear of lens) is sized to match the smaller dimensions used for the image sensor on digital cameras, It accepts smaller filters (62 mm vs. 72 mm) and can focus 7 cm closer.

Lensbaby introduces Edge 80 telephoto optic reviews



the availability of its 80mm Edge 80 Optic, the newest addition to its Optic Swap System.  Like the Lens baby Sweet 35 Optic, the Edge 80 features Lens baby’s internal 12-blade adjustable aperture. The Edge 80 provides a flat field of focus that, pointed straight ahead, takes photos that are sharp from edge to edge. Tilting the Edge 80 allows photographers to create vertical, horizontal and diagonal slices of focus through the image. With the Edge 80, photographers can control a flat field of focus that becomes a slice of sharpness through the photo when the lens is tilted.  Lens baby has announced an addition to its unique range of selective-focus lenses, in the shape of the Edge 80. It ships with the Double Glass Optic installed and is compatible with all optics in the Lens baby Optic Swap System. Simply tilt the lens to a desired angle then focus with a manual focusing ring.

Tamron releases 24-70mm F2.8 zoom stabilization lead



The SP 24-70mm F/2.8 Di VC USD lens includes Tamron's vibration compensation technology, which can counteract camera shake to stabilize photos. It's a feature that Canon and Nikon haven't added to their 24-70mm F2.8 lenses.
The lens will be developed for Canon, Nikon and Sony mounts. VC (Vibration Compensation)

Tamron has announced a 24-70mm F2.8 zoom for full frame cameras that features inbuilt optical stabilisation - a first in this class of lens.

Ricoh announces RICOH LENS A16 24-85mm F3.5-5.5 review


the GXR is a revolutionary interchangeable unit camera system in which lenses can be changed by mounting camera units that integrate lens, image sensor, and image processing engine into a single unit.

This camera unit features a 23.6 mm×15.7 mm (APS-C size) 16M CMOS sensor. In combination with the image processing engine Smooth Imaging Engine IV, this image sensor makes it possible to shoot high-quality images with smooth tonal gradations, as well as low noise and high-resolution.

Diverse shooting functions and high operability
With the new ISO bracketing function, the photographer can shoot and record three images with different ISO sensitivities.
